Squirrel Flower, Tenci, Maria BC @ Soda Bar: Ella O’Connor Williams—the singer/songwriter behind Squirrel Flower—can craft a song so beautiful and delicate that it belongs in a museum, and then turn around and drag listeners through the sludge of ‘90s-era grunge. Regardless of her mode, Williams never fails to conjure big, emotional feelings, and this show should be a must for anyone who’s a fan of Phoebe Bridgers or Julien Baker.

I was a little worried at first, but this article was the equivalent of looking at a car accident when you’re pretty sure you’re going to see something you shouldn’t see - because it’s too horrifying, too private a moment of tragedy - but instead you see you see a bunch of swimsuit models that wave at you as you drive past, smiling, like “what did you expect to see?”
